Do any of you have, and could possibly somehow give me, Sigur Rós's untitled no. 8 from the ( ) album?
I really miss it and I'm in pretty dire need.

The little slip of paper in a fortune cookie I had yesterday said this:
"Try a new hat for a change in looks. Be creative!"
Which is funny because today I am graduating high school and wearing the silly cap and all.

I woke up this morning with my window partway open because it was too hot last night, and I could hear birds singing and the air smelled really good. A little bit summery but not completely because it is overcast right now. It made me wish that I had a balcony over a somewhat busy street so that I could put something thick on and have breakfast out there in the morning freshness, watching the people beneath.

I find it baffling that there's one chance a year to look as scary/stupid/ugly/funny as you would like without anyone looking down at you, and people don't take it. I don't get it! It could be such an awesome holiday. As much as I hate the popular princesses - with their pink gauzy wings - and the oh-so-original 70s gals, I would much rather have that than the sea of grey, blue and white. A little color, sparkle, variety please!! Sadly, me and a handful of other people were the only ones in full costume in the entire school.
I was this lady right here:

Delirium, from a comic book series called The Sandman. Aside from being possibly my favorite character, I picked her because she'd be the easiest to impersonate. I dyed my hair pink and green, and ruffled it up all razy with some gel. Also had some cool eye make-up, and some fishnet stockings with red Docs and my dad's gross, old leather jacket. It was really fun. Too bad I didn't get any pictures.
I'm not that sad though, because we had SIX trick-or-treaters stop by our house today. That's better than nothing. Okay, two of the were my friends, but that still counts. It's strange to realize when I look forward to next year that I'm probably not going to be here for Halloween.

I saw Mirrormask last night. It's written by Neil Gaiman and Dave Mckean, directed by Dave Mckean, and it is VERY cool. It's set in England of course, and it's about this girl Helena whose parents own a circus, and she is mad at them because they're keeping her from being part of the 'real world'. But then her mom falls sick, and Helena ends up having to go through this mystical realm inside herself and fulfill a quest for the 'mirromask' to make everything well again. Here is the official site if you wanna see information and trailers and such http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/mirrormask/

It's a small-budget movie, and it's only playing in certain theaters, a list of which you can find here: http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/mirrormask/theaters/
Go see it. =)
